Mary’s worthiness

Mother Mary had an important role in the ministry of Christ.

She was there for so many of the significant moments of his life. From his birth and presentation at the Temple, to the time he went missing for three days and was found teaching in the Temple.

Mary witnessed Christ's first miracle, when he turned water into wine, and she was there during the final moments of his earthly life.

As Christ hung upon the cross, he entrusted Mary to the beloved disciple. But this moment carried a much deeper message. Mary was being given as a spiritual mother to all beloved followers of Christ.

And that includes you.

This makes her presence in the Upper Room all the more significant.

Mary was gathered with the Apostles when the Holy Spirit descended, setting their souls alight with divine presence.

But this wasn't Mary's first encounter with the Holy Spirit.

It was that same divine presence that came upon her when Archangel Gabriel revealed she would become the mother of Christ.

Mary's presence is also a powerful reminder of the spiritual worthiness of women. She had a direct connection to God and an important place among the followers of Christ.

The light of the Holy Spirit was never meant to be reserved for men alone.

And through Mary's intercession, no matter who you are or where you are in the world, you too can be led towards that divine light.

✨ This is what we'll be exploring in our next Crown of Mary gathering on Sunday 18th October 2026 at 6pm UK /1pm EST / 10am PST.

I know our journey through the mysteries of Mary has become a little disconnected from the liturgical calendar, but these mysteries aren't limited to the dates on which they're celebrated. We can return to them whenever we need their wisdom, guidance or support.

If you're looking for inspiration, direction or a deeper sense of spiritual connection, I'd love to welcome you to our next prayer circle.

Together, we'll welcome the light of the Holy Spirit to shine upon our lives through the intercession of Mary.

And through her, we are always led towards the light of Christ.

The most unfathomable, unconditional love available to all. 🤍
